    研究領域
    自1979年研究高含沙水流和泥石流,建立了包括偽一相高含沙水流、紊流型兩相高含沙水流、層移質運動及泥石流運動的高含沙水流運動理論體系。發現了高含沙湍流的分層規律、脈動頻譜、高含沙遏紊和減阻機理,提出了高含沙明渠水流不穩定性理論。建立了包括偽一相高含沙水流、紊流型兩相高含沙水流、層移質運動及泥石流運動的高含沙水流運動理論體系。把一般挾沙水流、高含沙水流及泥石流納入統一的力學機理,提出了泥沙自起動到高含沙水流運動極限情況的統一模式。
    從1997年開始,王兆印及其研究小組致力于河流生態和河流綜合管理研究,創立了植被-侵蝕動力學,將各生態應力定量表達并且統一在植被-侵蝕動力學方程組中,并在此基礎上他開發了植被-侵蝕狀態圖,可以預測流域植被在生態應力和人類活動影響下的發展趨勢,回答是否和究竟花費多大努力才能改變植被狀態。

    1994-2000,與德國著名學者如Prof.E.Plate, Prof.Bechteler, Prof.Ergenzenger等組織德中非恒定流輸沙和中德非恒定流輸沙合作研究,得到德國大眾汽車公司基金會和中國自然科學基金委員會支持,在中國舉辦兩次國際學術討論和在德國舉辦兩次工作會并出版論文集。德國科學基金會(DFG)已經批準支持第三次德中非恒定流輸沙學術討論會2000年10月在慕尼黑舉行,主要資助中方學者參加會議。
